Did Santa bring you everything you wanted?

This is a neat photo from 1967 , and this kid was obviously into modeling. We’ve got a model of USS Forrestal (does it come with a tiny F-4 with malfunctioning Zuni rockets and a miniature John McCain ?), a Piasecki H-16 underneath , along with a B-24, and that’s an A3D Skywarri or behind him. And note the DC-7 sticker on the case at the right.

Im pretty pleased. Got the chess a few days ago. Also received some very fancy deerskin leather gloves, a phone power supply, and a really cool   sweatshirt from the m erch store of my favorite youtuber , which needs to be swapped out for a larger size. The whole family agreed to the joint gift of updating our DVD collection (All our favorite movies are on VCR and since we don’t have a VCR player anymore we needed to upgrade ).

I did well. I got the tools I had on my Amazon wishlist. Makita Brushless angle grinder and a Milwaukee 3/8th cordless  ratchet. Both will make my life easier.

I got typical toiletries from my step-brother (the present you give when you can’t be arsed but feel obliged to get something)* and some peri peri sauces (which I don’t like), my sister got me some Guinness and parents gave me some cash.

*I don’t mind. I knew I would get some cheap toiletries (as always) so I did the same to him. Lol.

Everything I wanted? No. I try not to be a greedy bastard. It’s been a nice Christmas. Mass was nice. The donuts we’re eating are decent. Now  we’re gearing up for the afternoon feast. It’s shaping up to be a great day!

Ebay and Amazon gift car d s, yeaaaah.  Also won $40 on scratch tickets and have a bunch of diabeetus food to bring to work, not a bad haul.

This was a lean Christmas for mom and dad. Which is fine, since we’re paying for a big trip to California next summer. The kids got a PS4, which was the big ticket item. Otherwise, lots of little things. Merry Christmas to you and your family, Buck.

It’s a fairly lean Christmas for us too. The puppy and the travel over Thanksgiving really ate into the Christmas fund this year.

Almost. Had lots and lots of plans to spend time with friends and families. Buuuuut wife and I have been having a rough spot between us . Soooo we spent the day together in bed watching movies, working out the issues, and reconnecting so to speak. Worth i t. Beats the stress of holiday trave l.
